DevOps Team Lead
A global technology organisation delivering connected software solutions across international markets is seeking an experienced DevOps Team Lead to manage and evolve its DevOps / Developer Experience function.
This position sits within the DevOps and Architecture group and is responsible for enabling fast, reliable software delivery across cloud and on-premise environments. The team focuses on infrastructure automation, continuous delivery, developer tooling, and engineering experience optimisation.
Lead and develop a high-performing DevOps / DevEx team
Drive DevOps best practices across engineering teams
Automate build, test, and deployment processes across cloud and data centre environments
Improve CI/CD pipelines and self-service capabilities
Oversee hybrid infrastructure (cloud and virtualised data centre)
Partner with Engineering Leaders and Architects to align tooling and standards
Implement engineering quality dashboards and performance metrics
Promote Lean principles and continuous improvement
Track and report on operational and delivery metrics
Stay current with DevOps, cloud, and infrastructure trends
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field
Strong people management and leadership skills
Proven experience in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices
Experience managing hybrid environments (AWS and/or Azure + on-prem DC)
Hands-on experience with virtualised environments (e.g., VMware)
Experience with distributed systems (REST, SOA, Microservices, SaaS)
Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy (or similar)
Strong Git and branching strategy knowledge (e.g., Gitflow)
Agile delivery experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with highly scalable, highly available SaaS platforms
Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and continuous improvement mindset
